Dear Reader,

Welcome to another edition of this fortnightly newsletter covering all we do at the Project to nudge you to read more, read better.

Haven’t subscribed yet? Get updates from us on the first and third Thursday every month on the Bibliotherapy front. Free to read.

How July started

On 2nd July, we entered the next stage of Project Bibliotherapy with the launch of 42 Good Reads of the Internet: Volume 2. This zine is our way of curating great finds from the vastness of the internet, 42 at a time.

We hosted a Guided Reading Meditation at Kunzum Bookstore GK2 for fellow readers to mark the zine launch. For an hour, eighteen of us read a selection of 4 Good Reads together, with Nandini and I guiding the way by reading aloud.

The Reading List

Take out sixty minutes from your schedule and experience what we read that day. (Don’t forget to turn off notifications)

#1. The Book of Dog - Hemali Sodhi
#2. How do I make friends? - Mari Andrew
#3. What’s it like to be a solo female traveler - Ila Reddy
#4. Everything Forest - Janice Pariat

Project Bibliotherapy (Nandini & Nitin) on Instagram: ”🥂Here’s to July - one of the busiest months of this year! By far, one we enjoyed the most :) 1. Kickstarted the month by launching our membership plan. We hosted a Guided Reading Meditation at @kunzum GK2 which was quite the hit. 2. The @kunzum Bookselling Reimagined Conference was a 2-day whirlwind of ideas and talks by people from the writing, reading and publishing worlds. 3. It’s where we also met the brilliant @sridhar.balan.5 sir. We spent the weekend reading at the Silent Book Club by @windwordconsult. 4. At @goetheinstitut_newdelhi we listened to a fascinating conversation with @sarnathbanerjee @anupamarunachalam and @lakshya.d on the creative process behind their comic making. 5. We met @amitav_ghosh1 at the launch of his latest book Smoke and Ashes and had a great conversation about the Project :) 6. Met @barkha.dutt at the launch of Caged Tiger, @bhadrasubhashish’s book that we just recently dived into 7. Hosted a fun Storytime Session with the kids from Over-BOOK-ed, a book club by parents of kids who attend Shri Ram School @tsrsonline 8. A discussion with @delhireads and @bshrayana that we thoroughly enjoyed, on her book Desperately Seeking Shahrukh at @costacoffeeindia Khan Market. 9. Listened in to @karunaezara in conversation with @aaminaahmadwrites for @karunaskitaabclub 🤓 ✨Watch for August as we’ve got a ton waiting for you in the works!
