Dear Reader,
Today, we invite you to explore
’s universe of curiosities - tales of adventures random yet true, picture books for kids of all ages, plays to ignite your minds, speculative fiction across short stories & a trilogy (in two parts as of now), mind-expanding artwork, a Substack () and Suki.Nandini was introduced to Manjula’s creations early in life by her family through their carefully preserved Target magazine collection.
Here are a few pages restored for your reading pleasure.
My introduction to Manjula’s work was also courtesy Nandini’s family - a copy of Double Talk from her brother’s bookshelf.
One rare early morning some time in 2022, I immersed myself in Suki’s universe in mid-80s India cover to cover…
…and was hooked!
Soon after, I discovered the existence of Suki’s revival in 2016.
Pssst - A new compendium of everything Suki is in the works. Till then, please treat yourself to 300+ comic strips (or as many as you can read in one go). Scroll away :)
We could go on and on about our fellow frood's life, universe and everything. And we will, soon. But in the interest of keeping the first version of our Readathon posts short, we are leaving you with one last recommendation for now (instead of 42)
LISTEN to and in conversation on the Seen and the Unseen.
We might have played a tiny part in manifesting this episode back in 2022 :)
Please tune in for 5 hours, and 42 minutes to know more about Manjula and her world(s).
Also, subscribe to her Substack -
for a slice of life now and then interspersed with her reading journey.ICYMI -
22. Looking Back on 4 Years of Project Bibliotherapy
Dear Reader, Last month, on the 22nd, Project Bibliotherapy turned 4! You may know us only in our current avatar, but it’s been a long, strange trip getting here. We’re a brand that helps people build a better reading habit through our ‘Readers of 42’ community.
Till tomorrow, 6:42 AM IST. Happy reading :) ~ N&N
This Readathon post is a stub at the moment.
Later this year, it will be expanded to the Manjula Padmanabhan corner of the Readers of 42 Library. All links to cool stuff related to her work, in one place, for your reading pleasure.
Stay tuned!
