Dear Reader,
“We may not have gone where we intended to go, but we think we have ended up where we needed to be.” (paraphrasing Douglas Adams)
Towel Day Online - a dream come true
After getting introduced to Beeblebears by Towel Day Ambassador 2023
earlier last week, we celebrated May 25 from the confines of our bibliocave by chatting with , a Hitchhiker fan since 1978 and author of ‘42: The Wildly Improbable Ideas of Douglas Adams’ and the brand-new ‘I Never Could Get The Hang of Thursdays’…![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9c61edfe-fb2b-4eb0-898e-afe9fe4e3986_1080x1080.png)
The story of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy BBC TV show is already 95% funded with 999 backers in less than a week :D
I also went live on Instagram for 42-odd minutes with my towel at hand, for the first time in over 2 years. It was fun reading from the book and interacting with readers.
Nandini and I also enjoyed saying hi to Hitchhiker fans in London who had gathered to celebrate Towel Day with Kevin and David Learner, the actor who played Marvin the Paranoid Android in the BBC show.
Towel Day Offline Edition
Sunday, May 26, was spent in the company of fellow froods who braved the 42-degrees-plus scorching weather to show up at Kunzum, Vasant Vihar, with their towels at hand. A huge round of thanks to everyone!
Each hoopy person received a copy of our curated Towel Day magazine - DNA 42
